Inter Library Loan (ILL)
Interlibrary Loan ILL (Inter Library Loan) is a service provided to borrow books that are not in the Fırat University Library from other university and research institution libraries in Turkey.
*This service is available to the academic staff of our University, as well as doctoral and graduate students (on behalf of their advisors).
It will be sufficient for our users who want to benefit from this service to fill in the Interlibrary Loan (ILL) Request Form and send it to nozcan@firat.edu.tr.
Our users who make a request must specify their internal phone numbers in the ILL Request Form.
*Before making a request, it should be checked whether the resource is in our collection or not from the Library Catalog Browsing.
*ILL process is carried out entirely in accordance with the lending policy of the library to which the request will be made. (up to how many books can be borrowed at the same time and for how long)
*Requests for journals, reference resources, theses, books in the reserve unit, and books with the phrase "not for loan" are considered invalid.
*Books borrowed through ILL are sent to our Central Library by the relevant institution.
Our users can receive the incoming books from the ILL responsible staff (Nurten ÖZCAN) of our library. All shipping charges paid under the ILL belong to the requesting user.
*The arrival time of the borrowed book varies according to the institution sending the book and the time spent in the mail.
*Our requesting user is deemed to have accepted to use the book without violating copyright and to return it within the requested time.
*It is extremely important that the books brought under the ILL are delivered to the requested library on time. In case of delay, the relevant library evaluates the issue not individually but institutionally, and subsequent book requests are not sent.
*Books that have expired must be delivered to our library in a complete and undamaged condition at least three days before the delivery date.
*If the book is not returned on time or is lost, the rules of the library from which the publication was borrowed apply.
