Dear Users,
Our library has subscribed to the Turnitin database, which provides plagiarism detection services for thesis, student assignments and projects.
Turnitin is a web-based software for plagiarism detection. The Turnitin program, which is used to control student assignments, theses and projects, and to prevent plagiarism and illegal quotations, has been put into use. Program; It compares thesis, homework and similar studies with more than 17 billion web pages, academic databases, journals and publications, as well as documents previously uploaded to the program, and calculates the percentage of similarity between them.
To start using the system:
-Firstly; Account creation in the system for our faculty members is required.
Academic staff that can create an account:
-Asst. Assoc. Dr., Assoc. Dr. Dr. Our faculty members, who are on their staff, should be defined in the system.
-This process will be carried out by the library management and should be reported to nozcan@firat.edu.tr with name, surname, title and corporate e-mail addresses.
-Faculty members will be able to log in to the system with the passwords in the activation e-mail that will be sent to the e-mail accounts they have specified.
Students who will send documents can upload their homework/thesis to the system at http://www.turnitin.com with the password they will obtain from the relevant instructor.
